Happy 2019!

Hello all!  Happy 2019.  Praise the LORD! It’s been a while.  I hope everyone is doing well.

I praise GOD Jesus for everything I am. I thank Him for all the blessings that He bestowed upon us in 2018. Looking forward to what He has instore for us this year.

In my previous post, I mentioned that I hardly take pictures of my work, but I found myself taking pictures of what I made once in a while. Over the past 16 months, I have a few to share with you all. I thought this is the place to do it since this blog was created for that purpose.

Well, besides my new found passion, which is working for Jesus, I have been honing my baking skills.  Above are Brioche hamburger buns.  They have become our favorites. They are so delicious.  I love to make them myself than buying them at the store, because 8 buns costs about $6, which is too expensive for my budget.  A five pound (5 lbs) bag of flour only costs between $4 to $6, which can make about three dozens (3 doz.) of hamburger buns. What a savings!  So, that is why I make them at home now. I can make them in regular size buns or bite-size buns for appetizers. Perfect!

Here’s a new recipe that I came up with.  I call it Bibingka Crepe.  It’s rice cake with coconut strings.  Oh, I see some of you racing to the kitchen to make some he he…I can’t blame you. It’s out of this world! It is so delicious. It blows the regular crepes out of the water.  Glory to GOD.  If I have to eat crepes for breakfast, I would definitely have this instead of the regular crepes, which I find pretty boring.

Above is a steamed rice cake stuffed with purple yam, wrapped in banana leaf.  It’s made with sweet rice and sweetened purple yam.  It’s a great afternoon snack paired with favorite tea.

Anyway, I have to stop here for now.  I don’t want to make this a very long post.  Besides, it’s getting late. It’s school day tomorrow. I will share some again next time if we still have time. Some of you know what I mean.  I will tell you more about it next time GOD willing.  Thank you for reading. I wish you a great day!  God bless you.
