How would you feel if you found out that your blog has been breached? Some pictures have been deleted, original ingredients replaced with incorrect measurements? I don’t know about you, but for me it’s a personal offense because there lies my reputation. Reputation is the most fragile, most significant part of your being that once it’s violated by others your world will never be the same. As a blogger, you will be considered a fraud. No one will ever believe anything you say; doubts will loom, questions raised, and trust destroyed. It doesn’t matter how hard you work, it will all be in vain.
At first, I thought it was my mistake, so I let it slide. The first issue was the mango cake/cupcake. Then, it was the Quinoa Congee Soup. I swear I typed the quinoa as the first ingredient. I proofread what I typed by reading them one by one and comparing my notes since the last incident. I let it slide again.
My blog is my cooking book. I go back whenever I want to cook or bake something from one of my recipes. Today, I wanted to get the recipe for the Chocolate Fudge Cake. I made this cake many times before and followed the recipe to a tee without any problems. But today was entirely different. I baked it and I was shocked. I had to throw away what I made. What happened? Why is this not workable? That’s when I started to put the puzzle together and started questioning the series of events that had happened before.
I remember what Opinionated Man experienced about his followers kept getting dropped and they had to re-follow him again. It makes me wonder if the culprit lies within WordPress or if it’s a hacker. Why do I suspect WordPress? Because I blog for free and deleting content such as pictures will save them space on the web server. But replacing measurements? If Opinionated Man has issues and he is a paying customer, how much more for me? Maybe I’m insignificant because they don’t make money off my blog or is this simply a low-life hacker who loves to play games to people and enjoys making their lives miserable and I just happened to be a victim?
Cooking and baking is my passion and I love what I do and I am proud of it. I have worked really hard to ensure that everything I post on my blog is worthwhile. Violating this is too personal and I considered a criminal offense. You have no idea how furious I am! I have never been so angry in my entire existence.
To my readers, I appreciate any suggestions you can share with me on what to do to prevent this from happening again besides changing my password. If the culprit is within WordPress, then I don’t know if I can compete with them. I might just have to pull the plug and say goodbye. There goes one of my dreams…again. 😦
Hello! I want to apologize for not being able to visit your blogs. I was away for a while, but now I’m back and found there has been some changes on my template and I have been having trouble finding the “followers” button. It was on my Dashboard before, but now it’s gone. I’ve looked everywhere. I can’t find WordPress support button either. I might have to Google it. I just want to thank you for being patient as I try to figure it out. Thanks for understanding. Have a great day!
It’s been a while. I just want to thank you all for your continued support with my blog, especially during my absence. It’s been an extremely busy spring and summer for me. You know how it is with responsibilities and health issues. Don’t worry, I’m not going to bore you with every details. I am just glad that I am able to post something.
I must say Silva Rigobello (silvarigobello.com) was very sweet and kind enough to drop me a note wondering how I’ve been. Thank you, Silva. I do appreciate your thoughtfulness. And to all who left comments on my blog and to my new followers, thank you very much. I will explore your blogs soon.
I wish everyone a safe 4th of July weekend. Happy birthday, America! May God continue to watch over you; oh, land of liberty! ❤

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for their support. To all my followers ( blog, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter), subscribers, viewers, readers, and referrers around the globe who also helped make this blog possible through your support. Thank you very much. You are all amazing. This blog has reached over 11,000 views in less than a year. This number may seems small to others, but it means a great deal to me and I am grateful. It is one of the greatest rewards a blogger can ever receive.
Hats off to all these talented bloggers/commenters:

No matter what you go through in life when you have such caring friend(s) who support you no matter what, you know you are truly blessed. And, no matter how crazy your family gets, it’s a part of life and you can only be grateful for their support. Some of you have told me that I have inspired you to cook and bake. I am honored. I encourage you to keep doing what you are doing. It’s true that “practice makes perfect”. It’s the words I live by when it comes to decorating cakes and baking.
I was so happy when I received a message from Emilie from Mytaste.com. Mytaste.com is a search engine that compiles the best American cooking sites and blogs from the Internet. It’s such an honor to be recognized and added to their website. Thank you so much.
I hope you will continue to follow me in my journey by supporting my blog. Your support means a great deal to me. Thanks a million. Have a blessed spring and a great year. Best wishes to you all.
