NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD vs NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM GOD

I heard all the time that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Although this is true, I haven’t heard anyone preaching about what can separate us from GOD. I believe these are two different things. But, so  many are preaching that the latter is part of the first context itself. But, I beg to differ.  Don’t get me wrong. I believe there is NOTHING that can separate us FROM the LOVE of God. The Bible talks about this and I believe this to be true. The LORD Jesus died for us to save us because He loves us.

However, that is not what I am talking about. Is there really nothing that can separate us FROM GOD? I am talking about what can separate us FROM GOD; not from His love. So, what was that ONE THING that can separate us FROM GOD? The three letter word: SIN!  The very thing that caused the LORD Jesus to end up on the cross. It is because of SIN! This is that ONE thing that can and has separated us from GOD! When we live in sin, we separate ourselves from GOD.

Isaiah 59:1-3

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened,  that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God;  and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity;  your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perversity.

Revelation 2:4-5

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

Why do you think GOD is calling us to return?  It is because we have gone astray, we have been separated from GOD. God is holy. And unless we repent, we are not saved.

 Isaiah 55:7

Let the wicked forsake his way,  and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him;  and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

The other thing that I always hear is to have FAITH. My question is, can faith alone save you?  According to the book of James 2:26, Faith without works is dead. Faith alone is dead. We need to supply our faith with repentance (which is doing). We have to repent and show it.

Matthew 3:8

Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.

This is the thing that I have been trying to get across, but I was always dismissed and not being heard. So, I am sharing in the hope that those who live a life in sin will know and be awakened; that sin is that one thing that can separate us from GOD. So, we repent and go back to our first love, for He will abundantly pardon.

 Isaiah 55:7

Let the wicked forsake his way,  and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him;  and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

May this post bless you.

THE MAKING OF PATE A CHOUX: THE DIFFERENCE

Hello! I hope you are having a great summer. As for me, it has been a great summer so far. I have been making some Pate A Choux. I filled them with Ube and brought some to a party. A friend liked it and ordered a dozen. While I was in the process of making it, I noticed a dark cloud above our house. It was only above our house, which is not unusual for me. This happened often before and normally I would acknowledge it because I believe God is in that cloud as mentioned in 1 Kings 8:12 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that He would dwell in a dark cloud.” Psalm 18:11 He made darkness His covering, His canopy around Him – the dark rain clouds of the sky. Psalm 97:2 Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

But this time, I did not acknowledge it. I continued to do what I was doing. Well, because of it, below is the result of my Pate A Choux.

It was all because I did not acknowledge God. You probably say, “Well, you just screw up and you are blaming it on the cloud.” Not so. Why? Because this is His way of communicating to me. In addition, I baked Pate A Choux before and it was not like this.

So, I repented and invited Him and I made another batch of dough for a friend’s order. And, the result was amazing! All because I acknowledge Him and invited Him to make the Pate A Choux with me. HalleluYah! And, this is the difference between making something with and without God. Big difference. The Pate A Choux really rise and hold its shape.

Perfect to fill them with my favorite filling: UBE. The Pate A Choux below was from the same batch of dough, but I used different flavors (chocolate and ube)on top as you can see in the background. And the one on the plate has Ube top instead of plain like those above.

And…here’s the Pate A Choux all wrapped up and delivered. If you are interested, just message me. You can also visit my website by clicking here. Go check it out.

So, next time you bake something, don’t forget to invite God. You will be amazed. I give God the glory. Until next time. Thanks for stopping by and reading. God bless you.

The Power of Fasting

Fasting without praying is called dieting~ Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj

I want to share a powerful experience when I finally heeded the LORD and fasted in His own terms and not mine or other people’s suggestions. I hope you will read it until the end. It will surely bless you.

God has been wanting me to fast for years now. The reason was not disclosed at the beginning. I asked God why I have to fast all the time and why others don’t? Besides, my husband has a problem with it because I would lose so much weight. However, I wanted to be obedient so, I fasted (my way). I would fast for three straight days and nights without any food or water and then would eat whatever I wanted afterwards. There was a time I would give up eating my favorite food for three days and sometimes seven days and I thought it was good enough and I am done with it. I thought I was being obedient by fasting my own way. WRONG! God wanted me to surrender and follow His leading. I am no longer my own. He wanted to be the One who would tell me when to fast, how long to fast and all I have to do is obey.

I remember a time when I thought I fasted long enough, so I could eat right after sunset. I was looking forward to eating. However, as soon as I started swallowing the food, I felt my esophagus started to constrict. Swallowing was quite difficult and painful. It felt like I had a strep throat. But, I ignored it because I was hungry and I wanted to eat. However, as soon as I finished eating, swallowing was no longer painful. It would only hurt when I ate. How can one explain it?

Fast forward…I eventually found out why I had to fast. It was because my flesh was dominating me. I struggled to be diligent in what God had called me to do. This went on for a long time. I could not pray. I could not worship properly. I noticed I got impatient and easily provoked. I could no longer wait for the LORD without falling asleep and no longer have strength to rise early in the morning. In short, it became a stronghold. It was a vicious cycle.

God showed me in my dream how I was doing and it was not good. I dreamed that I was floating and being sucked into darkness. I had no control over it. It felt so real like it was really happening. I could not do anything. I was powerless to stop it. I was crying while I was floating towards this darkness. I would attend conferences and the servants of GOD would talk about it. The cycle has been going on for so long that it was time for GOD to expose it. I was so embarrassed. So, I would repent, but I found myself going back to doing it again and again.

God in His mercy and grace, had sent so many people to help me with my struggles. There are only seven of those I’ve recently met who know exactly what’s going on with me without being told anything. They are gifted. Yes, God placed gifted people in my life. They do exist. God will connect you to them and sometimes, bring them to you. But, you have to be discerning because the enemy will do the same. I would know it because what they told me would not set well with me. There was no peace.

Some people thought I fasted because I wanted something from GOD. But, it was my way of humbling myself before GOD. (Psalm 35:13). That was why I refused to stop fasting when I was told to stop. I just needed to do it the right way. Also, because my character was also in question at that time. Anyway, I ended up listening to the suggestion and would fast only up to a certain time and then ate. But, deep down, I felt something was amiss. It made me confused.

Until, a man named, Kevin Zadai came along. I listened to his testimony and teaching. And what he said hit me. So, that’s it! That’s why I have all those struggles. However, again, I did not follow through with it. I continue doing what I was doing until conviction came really hard. I could no longer ignore it. I was crying out to GOD. I would repent again and again. So, one day, I decided and said, “Okay God, I will fast the way You want. I surrender.” So, I fasted and went along to what GOD wanted. He guided me to a seven day fasting with no water and no food. I can’t begin to tell you how I managed to get through the seven days and seven nights without any food and water. There was only one time I could remember that I felt hungry. But, it was not like with hunger pain. No. I could feel I was hungry, but I managed to not eat, which is a miracle because I normally would eat when I’m hungry.

On the eight day, this is when something powerful happened. As I was praying, I was given a vision and in this vision something in front of me exploded! It was loud. Like someone fired a gun and hit something and it exploded right in front of me. But, I had no clue to what it was that exploded. It took me a while to finally discerned that it was the unclean spirit that has been harassing me and causing all these struggles I have had. He finally was taken out. He exploded. He was killed so to speak.

Matthew 17:21

But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

This was the reason why God wanted me to fast. I finally understood. Another amazing thing happened to me during this 7-day fast, but I can’t disclose it at this time. One may think that it’s all in my head, but I tell you, what I saw in a vision was no joke. The only explanation I have to naysayers is

1 Corinthians 2:14-15

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The reason why people do not experience any encounter or manifestation is because of unbelief, lack of deeper consecration and intimacy with GOD. They place GOD in a box in their own wisdom and understanding; limiting His capabilities. They think that He no longer does what He did in the past. They think modern prophets do not exist, nor apostles, nor speaking in tongues is done away with and it’s of no importance. They did not know that it is a way to have an intimate communication with the Father and it is a weapon against the enemy. The enemy can not understand what you are saying. It is between you and GOD.

Hebrew 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

I learned that God’s ways are not the same as ours. His ways are higher than ours according to the book of Isaiah. We may look at fasting as unnecessary or work, but we can’t have a say when God requires it from us. His will shall prevail one way or another. We will lose. We can keep trying to do it our way, but in the end, His will shall prevails.

Isaiah 55:8-9

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

There have been so many things I do not understand and would sometimes question GOD. But, in retrospect, who am I to argue with Him? He is GOD. He can do anything and I should have not argued with Him. He is the Potter, I am the clay. So, when He commands us to do something we can not understand, we must do it in obedience to Him. I have disobeyed Him more than I could count and there have been precious things that were taken away from me and manifestations withheld because of disobedience. I also was told that I have compromised. I listened to men instead of listening to GOD. However, GOD is also a GOD who restores. I believe that He can restore things that we have lost when we repent and return to Him and be obedient to all His commands.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

So, when you are prompted to fast, do it. And do it God’s way, not yours. Make sure you accompany it with prayers. Fasting without praying is called dieting. Follow your conviction. Obey and you will be amazed.

May this post bless you. I give all the glory to GOD for this post. Amen.

~Anna

Disclaimer: This is my own testimony that really happened. I am in no quest to coerce anyone to do a fast. I am merely suggesting. It is up to them and in their own discretion to fast if they want to fast.

The Goodness of the LORD

I just wanted to share something wonderful that GOD had done over the weekend of 4th of July.

We went to a family gathering in Michigan City. We arrived Friday night and went to my brother-in-law’s house by the lake the following day. Then, we went to the beach and just hang out with them. I saw my children searching for sea shells and beautiful stones. So, I decided to join them. While I was searching, I couldn’t help but wished it would be nice to find a heart shaped stone.

Just to fill you in, this is how the LORD Jesus communicates with me many times. He would show me hearts to remind me of His love. He is amazing.

I took this picture at a gas station when I stopped by to get gas. For some reason I looked up and this is what I saw. A heart rainbow. My jaw dropped. This followed me until I stopped at a grocery store.

I was cooking one day and needed some Laurel leaves and found a heart shaped Laurel leaf.
Another batch of rolls.
I baked some rolls and this is what I saw when I removed one of the rolls.

I have many more that I collected over the years, but shared only the most recent ones just to give you an idea on what I am talking about.

So, I thought of the impossible that day. Would I find one? What are the odds of finding one from hundreds of stones on the beach? Zero. However, it did not take me long to find one. I didn’t even have to look for hours to find one. I just walked and stopped at one place and there….a heart shaped stone! How could I ever find one? Only GOD. Isn’t He amazing? HalleluYAH!

Ah, the goodness of the LORD! He hears us when we talk to Him and He knows our heart desires and He gladly granted us. I was asking the impossible and He made it possible. Indeed, He is the GOD of the impossible. I give Him praise and glory. He is the greatest love one could ever have. It makes me wonder how can anybody not believe that He exists? I can not imagine my life without Him. He has done so much in my life and showed me wonderful things I did not know (Jeremiah 33:3). Thank you LORD Jesus. You are to be praised.

And….He gave us a beautiful sunset….

Thank you for reading. May you be blessed by this post.

The Power of Unity

This is my personal testimony that I would like to share.

My sister, my friend and I went to attend to a church service in Maryland. On our way there, I noticed a light shining down on us. It was thick. I did not say anything to my sister and my friend at that time. Coming back to Virginia, the sun was shining brightly that day. When, my friend stopped at a traffic light, this blazing, bright color caught my attention. It was reflecting on the road sign. It was a rainbow. It was rich and deep in color. I have never seen one like it in my entire being. I’ve seen all kinds of rainbows when I was living in Hawaii and here in Virginia, but never like this. It was different. This one was like FIRE! I was just staring at it. I looked at my friend (she was the driver and I was sitting right next to her) and wondered if she could see what I was seeing because it was right in front of us. But, she didn’t say anything, so I let it go and not say anything to her or to my sister nor take any picture. It would have been great if I took a picture, so I can share it with you all.

After that experience, I noticed that the light that was following us that day I still see it, but not as thick as it was when I was with my sister and my friend. One day, I was listening to this man named, Kevin Zadai, who died and came back to share what the LORD Jesus told him, he mentioned about the Apostle Paul that when he was beaten up, he stood back up like nothing happened. When I read the word (Acts 14:19-20), especially verse 20, I was reminded of the blazing rainbow I saw when we went to Maryland. Then, it hit me! I was given an understanding about it. It is because we were TOGETHER! We are the light of the world, right? So, when we combine forces, the light becomes even brighter and thicker. That explains to why the light I saw was thicker and not when I was by myself. And, I was reminded of the power of unity in Psalm 133. Oh my God! People of GOD, when we are united, we are powerful. No wonder the LORD Jesus said, He will build His church and the enemy can’t prevail against it” Why? It is because when we are united, when we are one and in agreement, we touch heaven and we prevail against the devil! Yes!

Matthew 18:19, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”

The LORD Jesus said this. Can you imagine? No wonder the enemy wants us to fight each other, so we are not as strong and powerful. My GOD! How amazing GOD is! People of GOD, united we are powerful against satan and his cohorts, divided we fail. That’s it! This is the very reason why the enemy is making sure that Christians do not unite. The devil is making us all fight each other. I am speaking about righteous people united and standing for the truth and righteousness, not unity in unrighteousness.

We are living in a time now where the love of many (even Christians) have gone cold and evil is now called good and good is now called evil. What is written in the Bible in the book of Matthew 24:12 is now coming to pass and some of us can attest to it based on our own personal experience. The LORD Jesus is coming back. I pray that we all unite and continue to fight for the truth and to pray for one another and for our nation without ceasing. May this bless you as it has bless me. To GOD be the glory!

Disclaimer: This is my own personal testimony to inform but not to coerce. This is not a make up story, but the truth and I am standing by it. I plead the blood of Jesus on this post. Amen.

Resurrection Day

April 17 is the day to commemorate the death of our dear LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. The real reason of the event and celebration. The Messiah that came to die in our place to save us from our sins. The one who gave us the gift of salvation from sin. He came to give us life and have it more abundantly according to the Scripture (John 10:10). Hence, we celebrate the day as gratitude and remembrance to what He had done. He gave His life in obedience to the Father’s will and to show how much He loves us.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

The other wonderful thing that we all need to watch for is His return. The LORD Jesus is coming back and He is calling all His bride. We all need to return to our first love, Jesus Christ, the one who paid it all. May you celebrate the real reason of the season; giving thanks for what the King of kings and LORD of Lords had done for us. Happy Resurrection day.

FAITH AND FAVORS OF GOD

I mentioned in my previous post about things that happened in my life while in hiatus from blogosphere world and here’s the second one. I hope you read it until the end because there is something very important that you must know. Read on…(see next page by clicking on the number page below).

Have you ever traveled to another country and experienced the move of GOD? Well, it happened to me. I have forgotten that I wrote something about it while I was on the plane. I saved it on my phone. I found it today, so I am sharing.

There was a conference in Singapore in February, the year 2020 that I must attend to. So, I relied on GOD to make it happened. Attending this conference was very important to me and the enemy knew it and tried to stop me from attending. So, he used whomever or whatever he could use to stop me. So many discouragements and hindrances. The outbreak of Coronavirus was the biggest one. Second, someone who serves the LORD told me that I should wait for the Corona virus to go away before I travel and that I should use wisdom. But, I was reminded and given the understanding that faith without works is dead. By the grace of GOD, faith with action truly is what real faith is about. To me, I found out that faith with fear is not faith. Fear hinders the move of GOD. Also, faith on your own understanding is not faith but by the power of GOD. This is how we know who truly GOD is because it is written in His Word. All of His attributes we’ve learned.

1 Corinthians 2:5 “that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but by the power of GOD.”

John 11:40 Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you if you believed you will see the glory of GOD?”

Matthew 9:29 Then, He touched their eyes saying, “According to your faith, let it be to you.”

Jeremiah 9:24 “But let him who glories, glory in this: That he understand and knows ME, that I AM THE LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight” says the LORD.”

So, we have studied the attributes of GOD. So, if GOD is sovereign, truly He is in control of all things. This should help us be aware that He is a big GOD; bigger than Coronavirus or anything that we will face. I settled myself that I will not just profess it, but to live it boldly and courageously in Jesus name. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:7 “We will live by faith and not by sight.”

Well, I was able to go despite the opposition and hindrances and discouragement. And while my husband drove me to the airport, little did I know, I would experience the perfect 7 move of GOD from the beginning of my trip to coming back home no matter how much the enemy tried to sabotage my trip.

  1. On the way to the airport, hubby almost run over a huge clump of debris on the road. He was able to see it and avoided it. We have lived here for years and there was no debris on the road whatsoever. They would clean it up immediately. There was no storm or any rain at that time.
  2. He missed the exit going towards the airport, which was very unlikely of him to do so. But again, GOD’s move was evident because for some reason, there were cones on the side of the road that helped my husband and was able to back up all the way back to the exit. Imagine that. There was no work being done on the road. There were just cones. If he wasn’t able to back up and would continue until he can make a U-turn, I would have missed my flight.
  3. When we arrived at the airport, there was a line. And, I found out my luggage was overweight. Even my carry on bags. The staff wanted me to removed the excess. Then, the lock on one of the luggage was stuck and would not open. I prayed to GOD and asked for His help. Nothing. I asked again. Nothing. So, I asked the man if he has a cutter to cut the lock. He said no. I asked him how much was the fee for overweight luggage, he said $100. So, I agreed to pay. But then, here comes the answer to my prayer. He said, “It’s okay”. Meaning, he will allow it or let it go. So, I was relieved. Thank you Jesus.
  4. On the way to my Boarding gate, I rode the train and got lost. There was no one in sight. Then, this tall man wearing suit, came and I asked him. And, he showed me where to go. He guided me until the boarding gates. How cool is that? And he was the only one who came my way. No one else. I believe it was a divine intervention.
  5. While boarding, I happened to start a conversation with this young man. In short, it was a divine connection. I found out, we were seated right next to each other. And he happened to be looking for a church because he is a born again Christian, truly transformed by the LORD (he told me his life story). We prayed together and found out he speaks in tongues. We exchanged numbers. We said our goodbyes and parted in Korea. He and his wife were in route to the Philippines and I was in route to Singapore.
  6. I arrived in Singapore. Found out there was no bus enroute to where our hotel was. So this sweet old lady tried to help me and called around. She found one. If I remember correctly, it was the last bus? Well, I did not know the shuttle bus is not free. I had to pay for the luggage and it was $9 per bag. This sweet old lady was kind and generous enough to gave me a discount. She also gave me some candies. Thank you LORD.
  7. I arrived a day early at the hotel (midnight). I did not have a reservation for the day I arrived. Found out they could not take me in because the check-in was not until 2 p.m. that day. And it was only midnight. It means I have to wait 14 hours before I could check-in. Where would I go in a place like Singapore? I asked if I could wait in the lobby. The staff said no. So, I asked how much it would cost me for two nights. She said $120. I did not have enough funds available, so I told her that I could not afford to pay for two nights stay. So, she spoke to her manager and the manager allowed me to wait in the lobby. Whew! Thank GOD for the answered prayer. While I was waiting in the lobby she called me and said she could check me in at 7 a.m. for that day’s date. She also asked me if I could at least have funds to pay for 1 night. I said yes. So, she went ahead and process the reservation. The amount I paid is half the price when I made the reservation and I only paid one night! And guess what floor was our room at? SEVEN! HalleluYAH! All glory and praise be to our Almighty GOD. Amen. I said “our” room because I was meeting my sister from Hawaii and my brother from the Philippines. We will be sharing the room. I happened to arrived first. The staff also also gave me water to drink. How sweet and kind and generous. All glory and thanks be to GOD Almighty!

The perfect seven; the number of GOD and the move of GOD. It is amazing how GOD works. He is truly our Jehovah Jireh, the GOD who provides all our needs. I also learned about what faith truly is. Faith without works cannot be called faith. Faith without works is dead (James 2;26), and dead faith is worse than no faith at all. Faith must work. It must produce; it must be visible. Verbal faith is not enough; mental faith is insufficient. Faith must be there, but it must be more. It must inspire action. Faith displays itself in works. Faith is more than mere words; it is more than knowledge; it is demonstrated by obedience and it overly responds to the promises of GOD just like what’s written in Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your GOD. I will strengthens you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Faith gives us the ability to choose wisdom that is heavenly and to shun wisdom that is earthly. Faith produces separation from the world and submission to GOD; believing that He will do what He says in His Word just like Isaiah 41:10 and Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened. Do not be dismayed, for the LORD your GOD is with you wherever you go.”

Now, I understand what faith is about through my travel experience. And I believe GOD put it in my heart to share so we can all be informed as it is written in John 3:27. “A man can receive nothing unless it be given him from heaven above. All glory belong to GOD alone. Amen. HalleluYah!

“Faith is action without reservation, fear, doubt, and a total surrender with peace and trust in the Almighty GOD believing that He is who He is; the sovereign, all powerful, living GOD! That He will do what he said He will do. Amen.”

I pray this post has bless you as it has blessed me. May it strengthens your faith in the LORD until He comes, for He is coming back. We all need to get ready. Thank you for reading. God bless you.

With love in Christ,

The Greatest Gift

Hello all. Good morning. Does anyone notice how time flies nowadays? It seems like it was only the year 2020 a few months ago. The year 2021 came and went and now it’s 2022. I remember announcing my return to blogosphere and I can’t believe that was three months ago.

Anyway, a lot has happened in my life and today, I will share one with you. This happened in November 10, 2021. After dropping off my nephew’s birthday cake, I was driving back from North Carolina on Route 360 when all of a sudden someone threw a large rock as big as or a bit larger than a human’s head flying and I yelped and ducked down, so I won’t get hit. When things are happening, you wouldn’t be able to notice anything strange about the situation until you focus and think about what just happened. I said someone threw the rock because there was no way a rock that big would just fly by itself. There were no other cars around. It was only me. It was pitch black because there was no light on the road. However, I saw the rock and its size because of the light on the side of my car. I ducked down to avoid being hit, but something strange about the whole thing (but didn’t realize it at that time). All I heard was a very loud thud and my car moved from being hit and saw the rock, yelped and ducked down. I said, “That was a BIG rock!” But why it did not hit the driver side window? What was the loud thud or noise that hit my car? Well, I was not paying attention to the mysterious side of the event but instead, I was thinking the devil is mad and that he really hates me (people around me get mad for no reason). I also thought it might be one of those gang members who would throw something to hit your car so that you would stop and look at the damage and that’s when they attack and rob you–that kind of thought was in my mind. Anyway, I did not stop for obvious reason. So, I started thinking about the damage and that we have to fix the car and my husband getting mad etc…My mind was racing. But, managed to still gave thanks to GOD for protecting me and keeping me safe.

When I reached town, I stopped at McDonald to check the damage and LO AND BEHOLD! THERE WAS NO DAMAGE IN MY CAR!! As big as the rock I saw, there should be a damaged to my car. But, there is none! HalleluYah! This is when I started thinking about the whole thing. And the reason to why something was strange about it. Because why did I see the rock? It supposed to hit my car and come down without seeing it. Right? Why did I see it and why was it flying after the loud thud? I believe that it was a divine protection (Psalm 91 promise). God was there that night. Our GOD Emmanuel (God is with us). And I just want to give GOD the glory and praise for what He has done. Thank you LORD for sending Your angels to protect me. I am in awe of How awesome our GOD is. Indeed, His goodness is beyond comprehension! HalleluYah!

I am sharing this because if you think GOD does not exist, think again. How do you explain what happened? Who protected me while the car was in motion? Why there is no damage?

Anyway, it did not stop there. The following day, I went online and saw a post that said I should give thanks to GOD for protecting me from harm. After reading the post, I mean the irony of it all. I couldn’t help but feeling grateful. It was a confirmation for me that GOD did it. He protected me. And I am not ashamed to share my experience because He basically give me the greatest gift, which is His love. And He proved it that night. He gave me my LIFE by protecting me.

May you be blessed. May this true event helps you to believe that GOD exist and that He loves you very much. He is merciful, faithful, loving, and true to His word and promises. I give Him praise. HalleluYah! Amen.

Romantic Valentines Day Ideas

I am going through my blog and found I have 44 unpublished posts since 2013.  I just shared one. But, I also found a post about Valentine’s day. So, I am sharing because Valentine’s day is just around the corner. I am using the cake (above) I made about a week or two ago.

Flowers and chocolates are the most common buy for men to give to their other half or someone special in their hearts.  What about women?  What can we do for our partner on Valentines Day?  Some might say well, it’s Valentine’s Day! Women are suppose to be wooed all over again.  I hear you.  However, to keep the spark alive, I believe it goes both ways.  I believe both should make each other feel special.  I think women ought to do something for their men as well.  Yes, eating out is the most common thing we can do for our partner, but if you are like us who are on a budget, I plan to have a romantic dinner at home.  Not only you both can relax and not rush through traffic to make it to your reservation, the minute your loved one comes home, you can pull out the chair and have him sit down for a lovely, romantic, elegant dinner at home instead of driving all over again and wait in line to be served.  If you are planning for a romantic dinner at home,  here’s my take on what I’m going to prepare this Valentine’s Day.

HIS AND HERS VALENTINE BREAKFAST

If you prefer something healthy, you can make a small heart charcuterie board adorned with all his/her favorite breakfast.

Or, an oatmeal served in a heart bowl topped with chopped chocolates.  Or….

PANCAKE HEARTS

If your loved one or someone special is romantic, this breakfast will surely impress him/her.  It will be the “best” part of his/her morning besides coffee. 🙂  You can either make it from scratch or use a cake mix. It’s up to you.

Ingredients:

  • Strawberry cake or Red Velvet cake mix
  • egg
  • strawberry juice
  • oil

Preparation Methods:

Follow the instructions on the box to make the batter.  Heat skillet or electric griddle and lightly coat with oil or butter when hot.  Place the heart shape pancake mold on the skillet. Scoop about less than 1/4 cup of the pancake batter into the heart mold.  Cook until bubbles form. Remove the mold and turn on the other side and cook until brown. Serve warm with strawberry syrup or your favorite syrup.

ROMANTIC DINNER

There is something elegant and sophisticated about serving a tender steak to your loved ones, rib eye steak or tenderloin that is.  Don’t you think?  If your someone special crave for something hearty, steak is always on top of the list even at restaurants.  Most of them would  recommend steak during special holiday like Valentines Day.  They would have  it listed on their “romantic dinner” menu. You can prepare it at home and make it  special, romantic dinning experience he’ll ever have.

Sometimes, it is the best to prepare at home if you want to please your loved one who’s a meat lover.  It’s less expensive.  It’s one way to make it up to him/her after a long, hard day at work.  I am sure it will touch his/her heart and appreciate  your effort.  It will sure help ease his/her exhaustion from a long commute.   A perfect dinner for him would be to serve his favorite food.  You can bring out your lovely china to make it more elegant and have that “restaurant dinning experience” feel to it.

WALNUT AND RASPBERRY STEAK WITH SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS

CSC_8406

This is my family’s favorite steak recipe. What a way to reminisce the good old days with my husband’s favorite steak recipe and serve it on Valentines Day.  You can grill this on a barbecue grill or in a pan.  Grilling it in a pan will come handy if you don’t own an indoor grill, especially during winter months.

Ingredients:

  • 2- 6 ounces servings of Rib Eye Steak or Tenderloin Steak
  • 16 ounce bottle of Ken’s Walnut and Raspberry Dressing, reserve 1/3 cup as dipping sauce
  •  a handful roasted walnuts and raspberries and cherries
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 cups dried Shiitake mushrooms, hydrated
  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly cut
  • 2 sprigs Italian parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Romaine lettuce, cut in bite pieces

Preparation Methods:

Season the steak with salt and pepper.  For easy clean up, place steak in a Ziploc bag.  Add the remaining  Walnut and Raspberry dressing.  Marinate the steak at least 4 hours or overnight.  Lay it flat on the refrigerator shelf.   For best result, cook it on a grill, but if you don’t own one, you can grill it in a pan to desired doneness. Garnish with crumbled blue cheese and walnuts. Serve with the reserved dressing to the side.

For the Shiitake Mushrooms,  sauté garlic until lightly brown.  Add the Shiitake mushrooms and stir-fry until the mushrooms are tender. Add the walnuts, dried raspberries,  dried cherries, and parsley.  Season with salt and pepper.

If you can’t eat steak like me, you can just have the Shiitake Mushroom Salad with the addition of watercress and bean sprouts sauteed in Sesame oil.  Serve with the Walnut and Raspberry dressing.   Take it from me, the salad was quite refreshing and delicious!

KIDS CORNER

If you have children and can’t find a babysitter to babysit them, well, let them join in and serve them the same thing.  Just improvise it by cutting the meat for them.  My children love their steak well-done.  I’ve read that well done meat is tough, dry and flavorless.  Well, not in our home.  Believe me, if you know how to flavor your meat and what kind of meat to serve, you will not end up with a dry, flavorless steak no matter what unless of course it’s burnt to a degree that it isn’t edible. The meat was perfectly cooked, flavorful and very tender.  Served on bed of romaine lettuce and top with sauteed Shiitake mushrooms with Walnut and Raspberry dressing on the side. What a superb dinner!

DESSERT (Save the best for last)

TIRAMISU CUPCAKES ( I made them today 2/11/22)

Having dessert with a glass of champagne is probably the highlight and most romantic in the evening on Valentine’s Day. However, I don’t drink alcohol, so I am just going to serve a non-alcoholic beverage accompanied with our favorite dessert:  Tiramisu. So, that’s what I’m serving for dessert.  It would be a sweet treat for both of us.  You can either make it homemade or store-bought.  It’s entirely up to you.  To make it more romantic, if you want a cake instead of a cupcake, you can cut the tiramisu cake with a heart shape cutter then cover it with chocolate ganache then decorate it.  If your other half is a chocolate and tiramisu lover, I guarantee this will make her/him felt special.   However, mine is not a chocolate lover. So, I settled for Tiramisu Cupcakes. I used my Coffee Cupcake recipe and just whip a heavy cream and mix it with mascarpone cheese and dusted with cocoa powder. Viola!

And if you are single and has no special someone in your life, don’t worry, you can have a lovely dinner for one!  🙂

A Valentine may love you for a lifetime, but God loved you before you were born and will love you for all eternity.
Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love…with loving kindness I have drawn you. Jeremiah 31:3

Frozen Banana Blueberry Crumble

coconut-breakfast-bowl-by-annas-cuisine

Hello all.  This post was on my draft folder since 2016.  That was six years ago. Wow!  I have been away for so long.  I apologize to those who waited for me to share how I did the crumble topping on the breakfast recipe I shared on my Instagram.  Below is the original post.

Remember this breakfast I shared on my Instagram?  Well, some of you were curious to know about the crumble topping. Hence, this post.

I know summer is over, but not in our household.  We enjoy summer fruits as long as they are available; fresh or frozen.  I discovered this nutritious and delicious topping when I was blending these two fruits together.  This is not your typical crumble recipe where you have to bake it.  This is frozen. I use it as toppings on my smoothies and nicecream.  It’s completely guilt-free!  Made with only banana and organic blueberries. Yup. That’s it! Easy-peasy.  Right?

All you need to do is add frozen banana slices and frozen organic blueberries (1:1 ratio) in a food processor ( a must) and pulse until it resembles like “crumbs”.  That’s it!  Don’t over do it or you will ended up with a nicecream.   Place in a Ziploc bag and freeze. Done.  Aren’t you glad you don’t have to read a long post?  🙂

If this post inspire you, please be kind and link this post when sharing or adapting this recipe.  Thank you for being considerate.

That is all for now. Thank you for following.  Until next time.  God bless.
